The McCarthy Block Building design was inspired from the original McCarthy Building that burnt down in the 1950s. The site has been in the McCarthy family for over 100 years, and the family wanted a building that represented the historical significance of the family and their impact on Pueblo. Photos of the original structure provided a basis for Visual Elements that have carried through into the new building.
This two-story office building is just less than 14,500 sq. ft. It currently houses a bank, numerous law offices, different community foundations as well as a University of Phoenix, all of which were Tenant Improvement projects for Abel Engineering Professionals, Inc. This project was Design Build with HW Houston.
