Abel Consulting Services, Inc. (ACS) (formerly Abel Engineering Professionals, Inc. or AEP) has acted as the primary consultant on a multitude of projects throughout the Air Force Academy Base. The projects are in various stages of construction including completion of some.

Abel Engineering Professionals, Inc. (AEP) has completed multiple projects on the Air Force Academy Base since 2003. These projects include survey, design and/or engineering evaluation services for roadways, parking lots, runways, structures, bridges, athletic fields, vehicle search facilities, traffic-calming facilities, livestock stables, drainage features and erosion control. Project scopes include topographic and boundary survey, construction staking, geotechnical evaluations and reports, structural evaluation and reports, drainage studies, grading and drainage feature design, asphalt design, cost estimates, and construction support.

As the A/E project lead, AEP has provided coordination with “customers”, base personnel, sub-consultants, and contractors as well as ensured compliance with all applicable regulations, standards and requirements. Multiple projects have included anti-terrorism (UFC) regulations, sustainable design documentation, environmental requirements, AFCESA requirements as well as City of Colorado Springs Drainage Criteria and incorporation into the GIS system.
